Holiday Schedule: Publications and the National Office
Due to the way the holidays fall this year, this is the last National Grail News for 2011. Tomorrow is the Grail’s official Christmas Eve holiday and next Friday, December 30, is our official New Year’s Eve, but we will resume the normal schedule in January. Gumbo will be published January 6 and the deadline for submissions remains Friday, December 30.
The national office will be closed December 23, 26 and 30 and January 2 and will be very lightly staffed between the holidays. Regular schedules resume on January 3.
Year-End Giving
We are almost to the end of 2011 and this is a reminder that all Active and Wider Grail members are required to make a financial contribution to the Grail every year. There is no set or recommended amount, but even a small gift provides evidence of the value that the Grail provides to you. And it helps to ensure the future of the movement from which you’ve gained so much. Contributions for 2011 must be postmarked by December 31 and they can also be made online by credit card on the Grail’s website, https://www.grail-us.org/contribute/. If you have any questions or would feel more comfortable making a credit card contribution over the phone, don’t hesitate to call us at (513) 683-5750. If no one is in, leave a message and we will be happy to call you back.
Request for Prayers
§ The Grail in the Philippines, where flash floods and mudslides have stricken the cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro. Jeanette V. Loanzon gave Mary Gindhart an update on the status of Grail members in the Philippines: Peace and many thanks for your concerns. Since yesterday, I have been in touch with our Cagayan de Oro group. Two of our members are in the city itself. One of them visited the older one today and both seem to be fine. Candi Mugot, our older Grail member and is a member of the NLT has a muddy house but that is the worst news so far. We will update you. Much love to you … and a very blessed Christmas.
